Pharmacy Technician Certification in South Carolina

Pharmacy technicians need to be registered with the State of South Carolina. The initial application requires a $40 fee as well as submission of a copy of the applicant’s social security card. Ten hours of continuing education are required per year, four of which must be in the form of lecture or in-person education.

South Carolina doesn’t require national certification however pharmacy technicians with certification may find better career opportunities as well as the opportunity to earn a higher salary.
